Imperial Diet · Augsburg · A.D. 1530
The imperial diet at which the Lutheran estates presented the Augsburg Confession (25 June 1530), the primary confession of the Lutheran Church, drawn up by Philipp Melanchthon. The Roman theologians answered with the Confutatio Pontificia, and Melanchthon in turn defended the Confession in the Apology.
Both texts are already in the vault, under Melanchthon (Bente–Dau translation).
